Climate and temperature control in a poultry house are vital for the health of the birds, especially as their needs change at different life stages.

Maintaining good hygiene is always important, and the climate of a poultry house plays a significant role in this. Proper ventilation and temperature control help keep the litter dry, preventing it from sticking to the birds’ legs and causing diseases.

A good indoor climate allows chickens to exhibit their natural behaviors, such as scratching. Dry litter encourages this behavior, indicating that the birds are comfortable and healthy.

Year-round optimal temperature is crucial to prevent heat stress and discomfort during cold weather. Chickens show signs of discomfort when it’s cold, such as huddling together in one spot without moving. Ensuring a comfortable environment helps maintain their well-being

How it works

Heat exchanger

The ECO Unit is an innovative solution for achieving optimal climate control in your poultry house. This heat exchanger with minimal ventilation uses the heat from the exhaust air to warm the incoming fresh air. The two airflows never mix, eliminating the risk of cold air being blown back in or cross-contamination. Instead, the incoming and outgoing air pass over each other in a series of thin tubes, allowing the outgoing air to warm the incoming air. This system typically recovers 80% of the heat from the expelled air, which would otherwise be lost.
