Training through various forms of cooperation with stakeholders
Developing specialists in the poultry industry - who can effectively organize the production and processing of poultry products according to contemporary standards - requires extensive collaboration with stakeholders. By leveraging their own experiences and insights regarding the industry's operation and growth, these stakeholders play a vital role in enhancing the quality of training services.
Inviting representatives from globally recognized companies that are setting trends in poultry farming to participate in training programs is a common practice in the specialist training at the National University of Bioresources and Environment of Ukraine. As the Vencomatic Group, we are proud to be part of this.
The Department of Poultry, Pig and Sheep Breeding Technologies has many years of successful collaboration with the company. This includes online lectures delivered by scientists and experts for students at various educational levels. The program features interactive meetings where students can not only learn about the latest industry innovations but also ask questions and receive thorough answers. Additionally, there is ongoing communication between scientists, tutors, and company representatives, along with domestic poultry producers, which allows for valuable insights into the use of Vencomatic technological equipment.
Long-term collaborative efforts are making significant progress. The company has provided the University with a demo version of a system designed for managing egg and meat parent stocks, aimed at enhancing the educational process. This system has been installed in the Educational and Exhibition Pavilion dedicated to Poultry Breeding Technological Equipment within the Department of Poultry, Pig, and Sheep Breeding Technologies.
Producers of breeding stock products in various countries effectively utilize the Van Gent Nest for efficient incubation egg production, reducing the number of "floor" eggs while boosting overall yield. Years of expertise from technological equipment designers have contributed to creating a robust and straightforward nest design, which is easy to install and clean. Considering the unique aspects of bird nesting behavior and their interactions with one another during the design of equipment can help ensure their comfort throughout their life cycle in industrial poultry houses. An automated system of monitoring of laying hen presence in the nest preventing contamination and optimizing usage time. The assembly of individual components and slats crafted from tropical hardwood, along with galvanized support systems for the nests, ensures optimal dimensions for bird comfort. Additionally, special covers are used to avoid egg contamination during transport, while promoting the well-being of the birds and providing comfort for the staff.
During a meeting with Tatyana Alifanova from Vencomatic Group and Ivan Murzhaya from LLC VADA, the scientific and tutorial staff of the Department of Poultry, Pig, and Sheep Breeding Technologies discussed several important topics. These included enhancing cooperation for the practical training of students from the Faculty of Animal Breeding and Aquatic Bioresources at poultry enterprises, facilitating their future employment, and exploring opportunities for improving the qualifications of representatives from various domestic companies through training programs at the National University of Bioresources and Environment of Ukraine.
We sincerely thank Ms. Tatyana and Mr. Ivan for providing technological equipment for use in the educational process of training specialists in various specialties at the University!
