Genus Focus for in-ovo sexing

Genus Focus offers contactless sex classification within the egg by day 12 of embryonic development. It accurately categorizes eggs as female, male, or clear, suitable for all egg colors and poultry breeds, with no impact on hatchability.

Automated, contactless and versatile

Within one second, a combination of AI and MRI technologies determines an embyro's sex in the hatching egg - contactless and contamination free as there is no need to go inside the egg. The Genus Focus uses AI-driven MRI technology developed by Orbem. It's a safe imaging technology that does not emit ionizing radiation and therefore does not harm the embryo or its development.

The entire process of managing the inboud and outbound egg flow is fully automated, meaning just one operator is needed. Each module can scan 3,000 eggs per hour, with a current error rate of 2%. As AI is continuously improving results the accuracy is expected to be improved even further. The Genus Focus is design as a modular concept, scalable up to 8 modules for a combined throughput of 24,000 eggs per hour.
