Spain - In the early 1970s, AgustĂ Roig decided to start up in the poultry industry by establishing his first farm, which housed 10,000 laying hens. A few years later, after the success of his first installation, a second facility was launched in 1977, accommodating over 250,000 hens.

As time progressed, additional farms were incorporated, bringing the total to eight. These included around 45 production sheds that accommodate over 1 million hens, all located in the Ebro Lands.

Their dedication to animal welfare and sustainability is clear, as showcased by their 'happy hens' initiative launched in 2012, when they began transitioning their farms to cage-free systems.

Hevo Group

In 2022, Hevo Group was established in collaboration with DAGU S.A. and Granja AGAS, with the goal of becoming a leader in the poultry sector. The group aims to drive the transformation of the Spanish poultry farming model towards more animal-friendly and environmentally sustainable production practices.

The most recent addition to this group of producers is AvĂcola Larrabe, which joined in August 2024. This brings the total number of hens across the four companies to 3.8 million, resulting in over 80 million dozen eggs produced annually.
